Welcome to The Kent Concert Orchestra

Formed in 1989 The KCO is modelled on the BBC Concert Orchestra in size and repertoire and is staffed by professional musicians from London and the South East of England. The orchestra is based in The Marlowe Theatre Canterbury where it presents an annual series of concerts that include a 'Viennese Gala Evening', 'A Proms Gala' and the 'Marlowe Young Musician of the Year' competition.

Due to the on-going rebuild of the Marlowe Theatre, the next Concert by the KCO takes place in The Gulbenkian Theatre Canterbury on Tuesday 28th September 2010 when John Perkins will conduct the orchestra in the 'Marlowe Young Musician of the Year' competition. Guest presenter for the evening will be Jane Jones from ClassicFM.
